All Psalms were originally songs and were written to help us praise God.

This Psalm has very few differences between verse format and the sentence format.  in this Psalm, the only change was that they put the twelfth and thirteenth sentences into a single verse.  While religious people got away with reformatting God's Word out of the sentence format and into the verse format and causing confusion with other places in the Bible, they did not dare do the same with places of the Bible which were as well-known as this Psalm.  That would have caused people to reject their devil-motivated plan to lead people into doctrinal error with the verse format.  Without the level of confusion caused by verses which do not match sentences, it is easier for people to understand what is truly said within this Psalm.
