Parables in the Old Testament

History is told in proverbs to avoid it being distorted. Numbers 21:27.
God spoke in parables to a king who refused to go God's way. Numbers 23:7.
God uses a parable to tell man that He does not follow man's way. Numbers 23:18.
Israel would conquer the people God sent them to conquer. Numbers 23:24.
Prophecy of how God blessed, and would bless, Israel. Numbers 24:1-9.
Another prophecy parable of God blessing Israel. Numbers 24:15-19.
Balaam prophesies about several people using parables.  God has him use parables so that people can not figure out the prophecy before God fulfills it. Numbers 24:20-24.
This chapter tells how God will bless obedience and curse disobedience and the curse shall be so great that other nations will make a proverb about the curse. Deuteronomy 28:37.
JOTHAM.--Trees making a king Judges 9:7-15.
SAMSON.--Strong bringing forth sweetness Judges 14:14.
NATHAN.--Poor man's ewe lamb 2Samuel 12:1-4.
WOMAN OF TEKOAH.--Two brothers striving 2Samuel 14:6-7.
Of the garment which was torn in pieces 1Kings 11:30-32.
THE SMITTEN PROPHET.--The escaped prisoner 1Kings 20:35-40.
JEHOASH, KING OF ISRAEL.--The thistle and cedar 2Kings 14:9; 2Chronicles 25:18.
This says: Moreover Job continued his parable  and tells that the prior chapter is a parable about God's strength. Job 27:1.
Job continues a parable from the prior chapter about Godly understanding. Job 29:1.
The entire chapter is about receiving Godly understanding as opposed to trusting in the things of this world. Psalms 49.
We are to teach Godly understanding to our followers. Psalms 78:2.
The psalmist uses a vine to illustrate the history od Israel. Psalms 80:8-16.
Fools can't understand a parable. Proverbs 26:7.
Fools don't realize when they mess upon the understanding of a parable. Proverbs 26:9.
ISAIAH.--Vineyard yielding wild grapes Isaiah 5:1-7; Isaiah 27:2-3.
Of the husbandman Isaiah 28:23-29.
Jeremiah's Soiled Girdle Jeremiah 13.
Jeremiah's Of the skins filled with wine Jeremiah 13:12-14.
the vine is no good for building Ezekiel 15.
a parable of a vine that refused to produce fruit Ezekiel 17:5-10
prophecy of Israel scattered because they refused to produce Godly fruit Ezekiel 19:10-14.
two eagles Ezekiel 17.
Woe to city that keeps sin after judgment. Ezekiel 24:1-9.
lions' cubs Ezekiel 19:1-9.
Aholah and Aholibah Ezekiel 23.
The boiling pot Ezekiel 24:3-5.
The gourd Jonah 4:10-11.
A parable will be taken against people who hurt God's people. Micah 2:4.
Wait for God's judgment against evil because His judgment will cause people to take up a parable about it. Habakkuk 2:176.
