Enlarge Our Coast

Psalms 119:32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
  1. Why
    1. 2Corinthians 4:3-7 says: But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
    2. Luke 9:22-27 has the direct teaching of Jesus.  It tells us that serving God's kingdom brings eternal rewards.  We serve God's kingdom by expanding the borders of our influence and the influence of our church.  Our reference also warns us that anything which we have in this world will be lost at our death.  Therefore, the only way to have a profit which can not be lost is to work in God's kingdom, which we do by expanding our spiritual borders.
  2. How:
    1. Psalms 119:32 is part of a section of this Psalm that starts in verse 25 and goes through verse 32.  It is giving instruction to the saved person who has been working in God's kingdom and become discouraged.  The only way to overcome discouragement is to have God enlarge your heart.  That is: let God give you more concern for the lost condition of those around you.  This should be the main prayer of each person, especially at the invitation.
    2. 2Corinthians 10:3-5 says: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
    3. Ephesians 6:12 says: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
    Who
    1. You
    2. Your converts
    3. Your descendants
