Pastors Produce Missionaries

God gave the pastor to the church for the perfecting of the saints
Ephesians 4:11-15 says: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Missions is doing the 'Great Commission ' and the ministry of the church while away from home.  Jesus gave the 'Great Commission ' to every saved person as a personal command.  This means that each of us will personally answer at the judgment seat of Christ  for how we obeyed this command.  All of Heaven will be there and know for all of eternity if we refuse to obey this personal command.  However, God gave the job to pastors for getting God's people to do the Great Commission.  If the pastors don't do their job properly then God's people will not be involved in missions like God wants them to be involved.

This message is mainly aimed at the pastors to tell them what the Bible says so that they can warn their people and not face judgment by God for failing to warn their people.

Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Most people emphasize the obey  and the submit  of this verse.  However, preachers need to pay attention to the phrase they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief.

Ezekiel 3:17-21 says: Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

This is a well-known passage warning preachers about the grief  that they will have at the judgment seat of Christ.  You are to:

God will bless the saved people who do the 'Great Commission ' and curse those who do not do the 'Great Commission '.  God will hold the pastors responsible for saved people who do not do 'Great Commission ' if the pastor fails to warn the saved people.  The main way that Satan gets God's children to disobey God is to have God's preachers preach doctrinal error.  Therefore, preachers need to pay attention to the warning that I give and verify these things against their Bible.  Preachers need to warn their people because many of God's people, even many Baptist preachers, believe these doctrinal errors.

  1. Satan hates all saved people.  He can not cause the saved to go to Hell but he can cause them to lose their reward and even have 1,000 yearss of tears.  He does this by getting God's preachers to teach doctrinal error.
    1. Error 1: we all have a mansion in Heaven.
      • What the Bible actually promises is rewards in proportion to how much we produce for God's kingdom.  That is what the parable of the pounds and the parable of the talents teach.  People who produce the most will have the greatest mansions and rule over the most people.  People who do nothing for God's kingdom are only promised a place,  which can be just bed space in a dorm room for 10,000.
      • Preachers who preach that we will all receive a mansion will answer to God for lying to God's people.
      • Preachers who preach the truth preach that you will have more eternal rewards if you do more for God's kingdom while in this life.
    2. Error 2: No suffering at the judgment seat of Christ, only loss of rewards.  Look closely at 2Corinthians 5:10 and read what it literally says and not what you have been taught that it says.  It says: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad..
      • Only saved people who are in Heaven will be at the judgment seat of Christ.
      • If that saved person has done bad  while in his body  then he will receive bad  at the judgment seat of Christ.
      • Look at the verse again and read what it literally says and not what you have been taught that it says.  This is the cause of the tears  which God does not wipe away for over 1,000 yearss and I can show Bible references which tell us that disobedient children of God will have tears almost twice a week for those 1,000 yearss.
    3. Now look at the next verse which says Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences..
      • This literally tells us that saved people who receive bad  at the judgment seat of Christ  will receive the terror of the Lord,  which is worse than the fear of the Lord.
      • However, it also tells us that if we persuade men,  by doing the Great Commission,  we will avoid the terror of the Lord.
      • It also says that we are to be manifest unto God  and to the consciences  of men.  The word manifest  means 'revealed in every possible way '.  Men and God are to look at our lives and see every possible evidence that we are the children of God and are working in the kingdom of God.
    4. Error 3: No tears in Heaven.  God can not wipe away all tears from their eyes  (Revelation 21:4) unless there are tears to be wiped away.
      • Only saved people in Heaven will be there at that time.  Therefore, there must be tears in Heaven.
      • Many people claim that we will have tears only at the 'great white throne judgment ', but there is no Bible basis for that claim while I can show a Bible basis for tears averaging almost 2 times / week for 1,000 yearss.  God punishes even saved people for ongoing sin.
  2. Truly saved people are to have a God-caused changed life.
    1. All children fight against growing up and being responsible mature adults.  However, Colossians 3:5-8 instructs us in spiritual maturing.  It says: Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things ' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth..
    2. Now look at Colossians 3:1-4 of this chapter which says: If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory..
  3. Pastors are to cause God's people to become disciples.  That means that God's people must have a personal disciplined life of serving God's kingdom.
    1. The main job of a pastor is to teach God's children to grow up spiritually so that they will do the work of the ministry including winning the lost.  Yes, the pastor is to win the lost but it is more important for him to prepare workers for God's kingdom because more workers means more work is done.
    2. Time and money are only measurements of what is important to us.  God uses percentages and not absolute values when measuring our time and money.  The tithe is 10%.  The widow gave 100% of her income.  God will judge how important God's kingdom was to us by what percentage of our time and money we gave to the work of God's kingdom and what was given to our life in this world.  The only way for us to accurately know how God will judge us if for us to keep records because we will always deceive ourselves into thinking we are doing more than we actually do.
    3. 1Timothy 4:12 says: Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.  Pastors are to be an example of how to live.  Pastors need to keep exact records of their time spent in the ministry and of all the money they receive, including gifts, and of how much they put into the Lord's work so that they can be an example to their own people.  Pastors are to encourage their own people to put a higher percentage of their time and money into the Lord's work so that they can grow their faith and so that God can bless and provide for them.

Pastors:

  1. Will you see how many of your people are soul winners and how many are capable of teaching or leading a ministry and then try to increase that number next year?
  2. Will you teach your people to completely grow up spiritually, and how to grow up spiritually so that they can be used by God as missionaries?
  3. If you don't cause your people to become missionaries then where will the missionaries come from?
  4. Why should God continue to bless your ministry if you will not produce the missionaries who will take the gospel to people who have not heard it?
